Meet Your Coordinator, Kylie!
Hi! I’m Kylie Scudder- and I am here to make the biggest day of your life smoother and easier for you. But first, you may want to know a little bit about me!
I’m based in Temecula, California, and I have a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration. My journey into weddings began while I was in college, working at a wedding venue during my summer and winter breaks. I started as a wedding and banquet server, and from day one, I fell in love with the industry.
While others dreaded the long hours, I was fascinated by every detail- from setting tables to pouring the champagne. Over time, I worked my way up to banquet captain, gaining hands-on experience in every part of a wedding day.
After COVID shifted the industry, i had a job change, which led to me joining a different wedding company in their corporate office. There, I learned the behind-the-scenes administrative side of planning before transferring to a venue in Temecula as a wedding coordinator. Through extensive training and real-world experience, I grew into a full-time coordinator, and later took on a catering manager role at a venue in San Clemente, handling contracts, training staff, and managing weddings from start to finish.
After coordinating hundreds of weddings over the past six years, I decided to start CounterCulture Weddings & Events so I could offer a more personal, intentional experience. I believe weddings should be about love- not sales- and that every couple deserves to feel seen, supported, and celebrated.
I’m passionate about inclusivity, thoughtful details, and creating a stress-free day where you can be fully present. And even after all these years, I still get emotional every time I send a couple down the aisle- because every love story is beautiful.
